Discussion:
Exclude custom folder from redirection GPO

We have a GPO that redirects the Desktop and Documents folder to a network
share. We want to be able to create a folder (with standard name and
security settings) inside one of the redirected folders (for example, a
folder called Not-Redirected). that will not be redirected, it will remain
local.
The best idea we have thought of is to first create the Not-Redirected
folder on the C drive, and apply the appropriate permissions. Then just
throw a shortcut to that folder into the Desktop. We're assuming then the
shortcut to the Not-Redirected folder would be redirected, but not the
contents of the folder itself.
But if anyone else has any other ideas, we'd appreciate hearing them.
Thanks,
Jeremy

No way. There are no excludes inside the redirection possible.
The shortcut is the only way to handle it.
