I'm trying to create a GPO that uses's the Wired 802.3 policies introduced
in Server 2008. The problem is I'm part of a much larger domain that is only
running against a 2003 schema which doesn't have the required schema's and
realistically I probably won't be able to get them updated.
What I'm wondering is if I created a temporary domain that had the 2008
schema and if I created a gpo with the required settings if I could export
and import it into our production domain that isn't running a 2008 schema.
Once it's imported I won't need to modify it and if that is the case I'd
just re-import it.
Is this possible and if so how?
Thanks.
