I am trying to remove password complexity in Windows Server 2008. When I go
to Local Security Policy/ Account Polices/ Password Policy/ Password must
meet password complexity requirements and right click "properties" the enable
and disable radio buttons are greyed out. I think this must be due to the
fact I have an active directory. Any suggestions how to disable password
complexity?

Hello shahid,

on one of your domain controllers or a management workstation with RSAT installed,
open the GPMC, group policy management console and edit the GPO on domain
level, if you haven't created your own, it is listed in the default domain
policy.

Best regards

Hello vinu,

You are replying to a posting from another person where the problem i solved.
So please create your own posting and describe which OS version(including
SP/patch level) is in use and which settings you have done on which OU and
what you like to change now.

Best regards

Hello MrTester,

Are you working on a DC directly or with adminpak from a client? Which GPO
are you working on and where is it linked to?

Best regards
