I am having difficulties understanding this step of WSUS Group Policy
creation:
To add the WSUS Administrative Template:
1. In Group Policy Object Editor, click either of the Administrative
Templates nodes.
2. On the Action menu, click Add/Remove Templates.
3. Click Add.
4. In the Policy Templates dialog box, click wuau.adm, and then click
Open.
5. In the Add/Remove Templates dialog box, click Close.
Step 1. I am going to the MMC and adding the Group Policy Object Editor
snap-in.
Am I supposed to use "Local Computer" or browse to the OUs in my AD
structure? When I browse, I see multiple OUs for each of my locations,
i.e. NY, ATLANTA, etc.
I want to use this WSUS server for every computer in our domain.
I thought another way would be to use GPMC, and right click on the
DOMAINNAME.COM and choose "Create and Link a GPO Here", and create it there?
Is that the right way to go?
I have the WSUS server installed, and all thats left is the AD Group Policy
creation...
Can someone please guide me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
