There are a couple issues with this that you should be aware of:

823146 Windows 2000 Clients Do Not Correctly Display Logon Banners That Are
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=823146

330618 Commas in Interactive Logon Message Are Formatted As Carriage Returns
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=330618

Some other stuff here as well:

The LegalNoticeText group policy which displays a message at logon time does
not support messages greater than 512 bytes in Windows 2000. This limitation
has been removed in XP

MORE INFORMATION
================

XP adds support for configuring logon banners that can exceed 512 characters
in length and can also contain carriage return-linefeed sequences. This can
be configured with the following group policy.

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local
Policies\Security Options\Interactive logon:Message text for users
attempting to log on.

Note: This is one path. it has been wrapped for readability

However, Windows 2000 clients will not be able to interpret and display
message texts created by XP machines. Therefore, you must use a Windows
2000 machine to create a logon message policy that will apply to Windows
2000 machines. If you inadvertantly create a logon message policy using a
XP machine and find that it doesn't display properly on Windows 2000
machines then you should:
- undefine the setting
- redefine the setting using a Windows 2000 machine.
Simply changing a XP defined logon message policy using a Win2k machine will
not work. The setting must be undefined first.

Cheers all,
First off, thank you all in advance for the help, this is a great resource
for All, Veterans and Beginners.
I am trying to figure out how to format the 'Interactive Login Message', I
have the text entered, and have tried all sorts of ways to make it
readable, but it all comes out jumbled in the end anyways. All the text
seems to run together in the box.
Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you fine people have run across the
same, and figured out how to correct it.
Thanks again,

Buz,

Thanks for the reply, I have see both these articles, but the issue still seems to reamin.

*** I have the text spaced out like this: ***

Notice - Login Warning!!

Logging in to this system is for
the purpose of Company Name.

Please log off now, if you are
not a represenative of this
company.

See network adminfor further
support information.

*** Instead I see this in the login window: ***

Notice - Login Warning!!Logging
in to this system is for the purpose
of Company Name. Please log
off now, if you are not a represenative
of this company. See network admin
for further support information.

How can I get the spacing correct (WYSIWYG)?

Oh, BTW.

All connecting clients are WinXP Pro SP1, and all servers are Win2k3 Enterprise Editions. Three servers total, running AD and Exchange 2k3.

Thought I would add that important information.
