I have a group policy where I enabled software restriction policies by
clicking the action menu and selecting new policy.

I did not configure anything after that because I wanted to see what it
would present me with options wise. Now I cannot install Adobe flash player
on the computer affected by this GPO. How can I turn off or delete this
software restriction policy just in case it is messing things up?

Hello biff,

Remove the GPO setting with rightclick. If i remember correct this cannot
be done from Windows XP/Windows 2000, do it from a server.

Best regards

Hi, you are able to delete the actual software rules that you create, but how
do you delete the 2 folders the software restriction policy creates when you
initially create a new Policy under "Software Restriction Poicies"? It
doesn't seem to be as easy as right-clicking and deleting the folders,
namely: "Security Levels" and "Additional Rules", any help would be really
appreciated, thank you.
